Try to Fail, But Never Fail to Try

Thomas Alva Edison one of the famous inventors ever. While working on his remarkable invention that is electric bulb failed ten thousand times before he could actually succeed in accomplishing his task fully. He might have given up and stopped trying because of these innumerable failures, but his perseverance was strong enough that kept him going and going. He did not call these ten thousand failures as his failures instead he called that he had found ten thousand different ways that could not work. The moral here we get is:

try---fail----try again----if again failed----try again----at last success is yours

One should never fail to try. Bounce back from your failures, gather together all your energy and set to work as if you are more energised. Keep that flame of never dying spirit burning inside that trying and trying doesn't make you restless but makes your nerves strong enough to achieve the target. It has been rightly said that, "The success is not in never falling but rising every time we fall." No defeats do not define success completely unless one has the grit to rise up from the defeat and try again and strive for success.

Let me cite a list of defeats of a famous personality:

  • Failed in business at the age of 22
  • Ran for legislature-defeated at the age of 23
  • Again failed in business at the age of 24
  • Sweetheart died at the age of 26
  • Had a nervous breakdown at the age of 27
  • Defeated for Speaker at the age of 29
  • Defeated for Elector at the age o 31
  • Defeated for Congress at the age of 34
  • Defeated for Senate at the age of 46
  • Defeated for Vice-President at the age of 47
  • Defeated for Senate at the age of 49

That is a list of defeats suffered by Abraham Lincoln, who is known for his fair character and leadership in our history. These are defeats not failures as Lincoln kept on trying. One can judge from every defeat that he was ready to give yet another attempt. he did not lay arms in from of any defeat how small or how big it was. He tried and tried and at last:
  • He was elected as the President of United States at the age of 51
